With the college soccer season in full swing, Brave SC players are back on the pitch for their respective collegiate programs. Many are making names for themselves in new places while others are continuing to excel on the campuses they’ve long called home. Here’s what the Buffalo are up to with their collegiate teams.

Niclas Wittur — Duke

After transferring from Wingate this summer, Wittur (Brave SC 2022, 2023, 2024) began his first graduate year at Duke University this fall and has played 405 minutes as a defender across five starts. The German international recorded an assist in the Blue Devils’ win over Averett on September 1.

Michael Florian, Nelson Felipe — Otero

After graduating from The Villages High School in May, Florian’s college career is off to a hot start at Otero College (La Junta, Col.). The freshman striker leads the Rattlers in goals with three in his first five games, breaking out his signature celebratory backflip twice for a brace against Lamar on September 14.

Felipe, who joined the Buffalo family as a member of Brave SC II last spring, is also in his first year at Otero and also scored in the match against Lamar and has an assist to his credit as well.

Oscar Resano — Jacksonville

Resano is tied for the team lead in goals for Jacksonville University men’s soccer team with two, including one in the Dolphins’ match against UT Rio Grande Valley on September 12.

Fabio Rodrigues — Wingate

Surprising no one, Rodrigues entered the college season at Wingate University (N. Carolina) in great form after a strong summer with Brave SC. He has started all five games so far this fall for the Bulldogs and has a goal and two assists in that span.

Santos has also helped Wingate maintain its undefeated record so far this fall after earning South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023. Brave SC head coach Anderson DaSilva got to pay both Buffalo a visit when the Bulldogs played Rollins College in their season opener on September 6.

Yuki Nakamura — Georgia State

The Brave SC center midfielder is settling in nicely at Georgia State after transferring from Cowley College. While he hasn’t recorded a point yet, Nakamura is currently seventh on the roster in minutes, having played 514 while starting all seven of the Panthers’ games. He will also make a return to the Sunshine State this weekend when GSU visits UCF for a Sun Belt tilt on September 27.

Leo Andrade, Breno Correia — Gardner-Webb

The Buffalo defensive duo picked up in the college season where they left off in USL League Two. After not scoring in Brave SC’s first 11 matches of 2024 before a brace in the regular-season finale, Andrade has already notched a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs.

Correia, who filled up the stat sheet over the back half of the summer, has assisted on two goals in seven starts, lending a hand in the team’s strong 5-1-1 start.

Joao Ribeiro, Bismark Ayamba — Montgomery

Ribeiro is well established in the Raptors’ lineup, starting seven of eight games of his sophomore season so far.

Coach DaSilva got to catch up with Joao and Bismark at the team’s match at Daytona State on September 21.

Agustin Iusem, Agustin Belgiorno — Palm Beach Atlantic

Iusem leads the Sailfish in shots (10) and goals (2) so far this season, as well as one assist. Belgiorno has made one start and three appearances for PBA this fall.

Nicolai Muench — SIU Evansville

After a late start to the summer season due to injury, Muench has become an immediate contributor back in Evansville. He has one goal and one assist while starting all seven of the Cougars’ regular-season contests. All of Muench’s remaining games will be on ESPN+ this season, starting with a matchup against Lindenwood at 7 p.m. Saturday.
