We just got back from the USL Winter Summit, an event our staff looks forward to every year. There are many wonderful things about the meeting and events but to us, the best part is that it's our official kick-off to the new season.
Here are a few highlights we thought you should know:
- The USL League Two added 15 new teams! The Tampa Bay Rowdies have added a U23 team (of the same name) to our division.
-We will have the same number of teams in our division. The biggest change for us is that we will not see rivals Lakeland Tropics FC for the 2020 season.See more below.
-Did you know that our very own, Jennifer Gianikas, is a member of the USLLeague Two Executive Committee? The committee is compromised of 10 representatives from each division. She was invited to represent the SouthernDivision. By the way, she is the only lady in the group.
-We worked on our schedule and it looks like all of our home games will be onSaturdays. It can change still and we won’t be able to release the full schedule until the league does but try not to schedule any vacation :-) past the 2nd week of May through the first week of August.
2020 will be our 5th year in the competition! We cannot wait to see you allagain! Go Buffalo!
