Brave SC — Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: 1/1/2026 Last updated: 1/1/2026
1. Who we are
Brave SC ("Brave SC," "the Club," "we," "us," or "our") operates youth and senior soccer programs in Summerfield and Middleton, Florida.
Our programs are conducted by and involve the following related entities, referred to collectively in this policy as "Brave SC": Brave Sporting Club; Southland Soccer Training Inc.
This policy explains what information we collect through our website at bravesc.com, through our registration and waiver forms, and in the course of running our programs — and what we do with it.
Our mailing address is 17690 S US Hwy 301, Summerfield, FL 34491. You can reach us at info@bravesc.com or (352) 561-8239.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you register a player, buy tickets, sign a waiver, book a private lesson, contact us, or subscribe to our newsletter, we may collect:
Name, mailing address, email address and phone number
The player's name, date of birth and gender
Emergency contact names, phone numbers and relationships to the participant
Medical information relevant to safe participation, including allergies, conditions and medications
Physician name and phone number
Medical and hospital insurance details, including carrier, policy holder, policy number and group number
Prior club, school and playing history
Photographs and video taken at our facilities and events
Payment information (see section 5 — we do not store card numbers ourselves)
Any other information you choose to send us
Information collected automatically. When you visit bravesc.com, our hosting provider and analytics tools may record your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time spent, and the site you arrived from. This happens through cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).
Information from third parties. We may receive information about players and coaches from leagues and governing bodies we participate in, including FYSA, US Club, GCFYSL, National 1 League, EDP, FSPL, USL League Two, UPSL and from registration platforms such as GotSport.
3. Children's privacy
We serve players as young as four years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website. All registration, waiver and medical information for players under 18 must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
If a child under 13 has submitted information to us directly without parental involvement, a parent or guardian may contact us at info@bravesc.com and we will delete it.
Parents and guardians may at any time:
Review the personal information we hold about their child
Ask us to correct or delete it
Refuse to allow further collection or use of it
Note that if you ask us to delete information necessary for participation — such as emergency contacts or medical information — we may be unable to allow your child to continue in the program.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
Register players and place them in appropriate programs and age groups
Communicate about schedules, cancellations, weather, tryouts and club news
Respond to enquiries and provide customer service
Process payments for registration, lessons, tickets and merchandise
Meet the registration, rostering and eligibility requirements of the leagues and governing bodies we participate in
Respond to medical situations and emergencies
Promote the Club and its programs, subject to section 6
Improve our website and understand how it's used
Meet our legal, insurance and safety obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade or otherwise sell personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. How we share your information
We share personal information only as follows:
Leagues and governing bodies. Player and coach information is shared with the organizations we compete under as a condition of participation, including FYSA, US CLUB SOCCER, US YOUTH SOCCER, GCFYSL, NATIONAL 1 LEAGUE, EDP, FSPL, USL LEAGUE TWO, UPSL. These organizations have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Service providers. We use third parties to operate the Club and this website, including:
Squarespace — website hosting and forms
Square and Paypal — payment processing
Adobe sign — electronic waivers
Google — forms, email and analytics
Gotsport — team registration and scheduling
Brevo — email newsletters
These providers receive only the information needed to perform their function. We do not store full payment card numbers. Card details are handled directly by our payment processors under their own terms and security standards.
Coaches and team staff. Relevant player information, including emergency contacts and medical details, is shared with the coaching staff responsible for that player.
Medical and emergency personnel. In an emergency, we will share whatever information is necessary with first responders and medical providers.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of any person.
Business transfers. If the Club merges, reorganizes or transfers its operations, participant information may transfer as part of that process.
6. Photography, video and media
We regularly take photographs and video at training sessions, matches, camps and events, and we use them on our website, social media accounts, printed materials and promotional content.
Permission for this is granted through the waiver every participant signs. Our waiver includes a media release under which the parent or guardian grants Brave SC and its affiliates the right to use images, video and recordings of the participant, and to use the participant's name in connection with them, without compensation. That release is broad and, by its terms, irrevocable. Read it carefully before signing.
What we choose not to publish, regardless of that permission:
A minor's home address, phone number, email address or date of birth
A minor's medical or insurance information
Any image that identifies where a specific child will be at a specific time
If an image of you or your child appears on our website or social media and you'd like it removed, email info@bravesc.com. Although the waiver does not require us to remove it, we will consider every request and will generally honour it.
7. How long we keep information
We keep participant information for as long as needed to run our programs and meet our legal, insurance and league obligations. Waivers, medical forms and incident records may be retained longer where insurance or Florida law requires.
Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.
8. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it.
We use Squarespace and Google analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us. This produces aggregate statistics, not profiles of individuals.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including using reputable hosting and payment providers, limiting staff access to what each role requires, and using electronic waiver and registration systems rather than paper records.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by Florida law.
10. Your choices
You may:
Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your child
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
Ask us to delete information, subject to our legal and safety obligations
Opt out of photography as described in section 6
11. Links to other websites
Our site links to third-party sites including league websites, GotSport, our sponsors, and our ticketing and payment providers. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced on our website. Continued use of the site or our programs after an update means you accept the revised policy.

TERMS OF USE
Effective date: 1/1/2026 Last updated: 1/1/2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of bravesc.com and your participation in programs operated by Brave SC, Brave Sporting Club, Southland Soccer Training Inc. ("Brave SC," "the Club," "we," "us," "our").
By using this website, registering for a program, purchasing a ticket, or attending a Club event, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our programs.
2. Who may use this site
You must be at least 18 to register a player, purchase tickets, or submit information through this site. If you're under 18, a parent or legal guardian must do so on your behalf.
By registering a minor, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian with authority to enrol them and accept these Terms on their behalf.
3. Registration and participation
Registration is not complete until all required steps are finished, including the registration form, the applicable waiver, and payment.
Placement is not guaranteed. Registering for or attending a tryout does not guarantee a place on any team. Team placement is at the sole discretion of Club coaching staff and depends on evaluation, roster space and age group availability.
Age groups are determined by the seasonal year running August 1 through July 31, in line with U.S. Soccer and its member organizations. Age group placement is not negotiable and reflects the governing calendar, not a judgment about ability.
Schedules may change. Practice times, locations, team assignments and coaching assignments may change based on enrollment, facility availability, weather, league scheduling and staffing.
We may remove a player or family from a program for conduct reasons — see section 6.
4. Fees, payment and refunds
Program fees, lesson fees and ticket prices are stated at the point of purchase. Additional costs may apply for uniforms, equipment, league fees, tournaments and travel.
Payment is processed by third-party platforms under their own terms.
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the terms shown at the point of purchase for that specific item. Because the Club sells different things through different platforms, the applicable policy depends on what you bought. Please review those terms before completing a purchase. If you can't locate the policy for something you bought, contact info@bravesc.com and we'll point you to it.
In all cases:
Uniform and equipment costs are non-refundable once ordered
Removal from a program for conduct reasons does not entitle you to a refund (see section 6)
Third-party league, registration and governing body fees are generally not refundable by the Club, as they are paid onward
5. Waivers and assumption of risk
Soccer involves inherent risk of injury, including serious injury. Every participant in every Brave SC program must have a completed online waiver on file before taking part. Waivers are signed electronically at registration.
Our waiver is a single document covering three things:
Release of liability and assumption of risk, including a media release (see Privacy Policy section 6) and agreement to our Code of Conduct
Communicable disease release, covering exposure risk at Club activities
Concussion informed consent, required under Florida Statute 943.0438
Participants aged 18 and over sign for themselves. For participants aged 17 and under, a parent or legal guardian signs. Once a participant turns 18, they must complete the adult waiver even if a minor waiver was previously submitted.
By registering, you acknowledge these risks and agree to the terms of the applicable waiver. The signed waiver is a separate document and controls in the event of any conflict with these Terms.
Medical authorization. The waiver authorizes Club staff to provide temporary first aid and, where staff judge it necessary, to seek medical help, arrange transport to a health care facility, or call an ambulance. Club staff are not medical practitioners. You remain responsible for all medical expenses arising from participation.
Concussion protocol. In line with Florida Statute 943.0438, any participant who suffers or is suspected of suffering a concussion or head injury during practice or competition is removed immediately and may not return until evaluated by a health care professional who provides written authorization to return. Brave SC recommends no same-day return and a graduated return protocol supervised by an MD or DO.
You are responsible for disclosing any medical condition, allergy, injury or medication that could affect safe participation, and for keeping that information current.
6. Code of conduct
Players, parents, guardians and spectators are expected to:
Treat players, coaches, officials, staff and opponents with respect
Follow the instructions of coaching and facility staff
Refrain from abusive, threatening or discriminatory language and behaviour
Refrain from approaching or interfering with match officials
Follow the rules of the leagues and governing bodies we compete under
We may suspend or remove any participant, parent or spectator for conduct we consider unacceptable. Removal for conduct does not entitle you to a refund.
7. Facility use
Brave Sporting Complex is private property and is not open for public or drop-in use. Access is limited to registered participants, their families, invited teams and their supporters, and authorized visitors, during scheduled programs and events.
At all Club facilities:
Follow posted rules and staff instructions
Only service animals are permitted
Warm-ups take place only in designated areas
The Club is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property
Play continues in rain; activity is suspended for lightning in the area
Facilities may be closed without notice for maintenance, weather or events.
8. Photography and media
Permission to photograph and record participants, and to use those images and recordings, is granted through the media release contained in the waiver every participant signs. See section 6 of our Privacy Policy for what we do and don't publish, and how to request removal of an image.
Spectators attending Club events may also be photographed or recorded.
9. Tickets
Tickets to Club matches are governed by the terms shown at purchase.
Unless stated otherwise: tickets are non-refundable; matches may be rescheduled or relocated; and entry may be refused or revoked for conduct reasons without refund. Ticket holders assume the risks inherent in attending a sporting event, including the risk of being struck by a ball.
10. Intellectual property
The Brave SC name, crest, logos, photographs, video, text and design elements on this site are owned by the Club or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may not use our name, crest or logo without written permission. You may not copy, republish or redistribute site content for commercial purposes.
Sponsor and league logos appearing on this site belong to their respective owners.
11. Third-party links and services
This site links to and relies on third-party services, including league sites, GotSport, Adobe Sign, Google, our payment providers and our sponsors. We don't control these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or practices.
12. Website accuracy
We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we don't warrant that it is. Schedules, fees, rosters, results and program details may change or contain errors. Confirm anything important with Club staff before relying on it.
13. Disclaimers
This website is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brave SC and its owners, directors, officers, employees, coaches and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or participation in our programs.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Florida law. This section does not replace or reduce the terms of any signed waiver, which controls with respect to participation risks.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brave SC and its owners, directors, officers, employees, coaches and volunteers from claims, damages, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your conduct or your child's conduct at Club programs or facilities.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Florida, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the site or our programs after changes are posted means you accept them.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force.
