Catching up

Our game vs Brookehouse had to be postponed to July 12th (time TBA) We were holding a 1x0 lead in the 24th minute when the game was called off. It was agreed to by both teams that the game will start with a Buffalo goal kick with 24 minutes on the clock and with the 1x0 on the score board.

With the game postponement, we will be sitting with the fewest games played in the USL2 Southeast Division for most of the season.

This will make it appear that the Buffalo are at the bottom of the table, even as we begin piling on wins. Had the match against Brooke House concluded with a Buffalo victory, they would sit just 5 points back of Sporting Jax, with one game still to play against the club.

Oscar Resano scored the goal for the Buffalo with a beautiful header.

This is his second goal in two games played, the first was during his Man of the Match performance against Nona FC.

Oscar's return to Brave has had a noticeable impact on and off the field. While the Buffalo had been able to create opportunities to score, finishing those opportunities with goals had been a struggle to open the season. Oscar putting two in the back of the net already has propelled the team forward. Off the field, there is a real shift in the energy with Oscar in the facility. Morning stretches have changed from conversational to a full-on concert with Oscar playing music to get everyone into the right spirit. His return could be the key to turning this season around.

Starting defenseman Leonardo Andrade was unable to play as he was serving a red card suspension. With the game not being completed, the league has agreed that he can play tomorrow (against Brevard SC), but will have to sit out to serve the suspension during the rescheduled game against Brooke House.

Out of the lineup midfielder Matheus Ferreira, a regular for the Buffalo has been dealing with an injury and took the opportunity to get in the booth joining Drew Chaltry during last game’s livestream. He said he wants to be back on the field but had so much fun chiming in as a commentator that he will do it again this coming Saturday.
