The Southeast Division is one of the strongest divisions in our league with no easy games but the start of the 2022 season looks particularly challenging.
For the first game on May 18th, we will play Tampa Bay United. As you may remember we had our only loss of the regular season when we traveled to Tampa (3x1) last year. We did win the next game 3x0 at home but that loss is something everyone will have on their mind going into Wednesday's game.
The following game on May 25th will be against our biggest rival, Florida Elite. We won both of our games last year but each time it was a battle. The home game versus FL Elite was one of the most exciting ever with our team being 2men down we still come out with a 2x1 win. After those 2 games, we come home. On May 28th we take on Weston FC. In our first game of the 2021 Season, we played Weston FC away and came back with the only draw of the regular season.
Lots of excitement in the next few days.
Returning players
Cedric Tatchou
Returning player Cedric was the first man of the match during the 2021 season. One of the most recognizable players on our team, he brings speed and makes his presence felt with important transitions and quick recovery.
Gustavo Murtha
A jack of all trades, Murtha was named man of the match 2 times in the 2021season. A defender scored during a very high-pressure game and one that the coach can count on to perform well under difficult tactical changes.
Jackson Lee
Having shown maturity and confidence, Lee was selected man of the match twice in the 2021 season. One of those was against the professional Argentinian team, River Plate. Well-positioned throughout the game he continually made important saves and we are ready to see him do it again!
