With Oscar and Augustine's return and the addition of 4 new players this week the Buffalo has 6 players joining the squad that are different than the first 4 games of the season. Our Summer intern, Dalton Sallengs asked Coach Yago and Coach Fabio about what they think of the new additions and the future of the team as we head into the halfway mark.
With the season halfway through and six new players joining the team, how are you feeling about the rest of the season?
Coach Yago Lopes: Our six new players are obviously very talented, but it’s the energy they’ve brought, especially off the field—that’s been incredible. Oscar, a returning player, has been phenomenal not just on the pitch, but off it as well. Before they joined, it felt like we were missing belief—like we didn’t fully think we could go far. But now, everything has changed. The energy is different.
These new additions have brought passion and confidence to the squad. I truly believe in this team, and I’m excited to see what the future holds. Coach Fabio Rodrigues: It’s great to have these new players join the team. Our squad has grown in both strength and depth. More importantly, our team culture is getting back to the standard we expect. Having Oscar and Augustin back plays a big role in that.
Overall, we’ve become stronger and more united, and that unity is going to be key as we head into the second half of the season.
