Halfway

We have reached the halfway point in our Brave Buffalo season, but it can be hard to understand just where we stand in the League Table.

With our goal to move on to the playoffs, understanding where we are in relation to the other teams is very important.

Currently, Brave sits at 5th in the league table with eight points. Sporting Jax, who we beat on Saturday, sits in 1st with 19 points. The 11-point difference can look daunting, but there are other things that need to be taken into account to see the full picture.

First off, Sporting Jax has played four more games than Brave. With six games to play, the maximum points the Buffalo can end up with is 26. The most points sporting Jax could have is 25. That means we are still in control of our destiny.

Second in the standings is Nona, with 15 points. We have already played Nona once this season, and will play them again tomorrow.

Winning this game, Nona will be able to end the season with a maximum of 24 points. Brooke House and Inter Gainesville both still sit ahead of Brave, but with 2 more games played.

It is tight, but the team has come together and is playing in the style we all have come to enjoy.

Every game counts. We will be away for 2 games before returning home on Wednesday, July 2nd, as we host Brevard SC at 7 p.m.
