Our Gold Pass members collected their season tickets last night — on the field we will be playing on this summer.**
For three seasons this club handed out season tickets at a restaurant, or a bar, or a town square. Somewhere borrowed.
We did it on our own grass.
We played games. Our players introduced themselves and spent the evening talking with the people who had already bought a season of watching them.
We handed out the packages.
There were light refreshments, and anybody who had not yet bought a pass could do it on the spot.
What made it different
Every one of those conversations happened standing on the field our first team will play on this season.
The complex is ours. The grass arrived the same week we started practising on it. In February we put a shovel in the ground out here and showed our Ambassadors a cow pasture. Last night we were handing out season tickets on a pitch.
Our first home match here is June 8.
To our Gold Pass members: thank you. Go Buffalo!
