The Villages SC 2–1 SIMA Soccer MVA
The final match of the season, at the Polo Grounds, against the club that beat us on the opening night.
Half time: 1–1. Full time: 2–1.
Not in our house.
And that is the season
Eight wins, four defeats, two draws. Twenty-six points.
Forty-six goals — more than any other club in the Southeast Division, and level with the all-time PDL record for a fourteen-match season, set by the Michigan Bucks in 2015.
Our goal difference was +25. The three clubs that finished above us managed +20, +13 and +7.
We missed the playoffs by three points.
