Tampa Bay United 0–1 The Villages SC**
Saint Leo Soccer Field, Tampa Bay United's home opener, and one goal settled it.
The scoreline does not tell the story
Possession, conservatively, was 85 to 90 per cent.
By the end of the first half we were creating openings, and Tampa Bay had managed — at a generous count — one shot.
Nick Butler and Iceman completely dominated the left side of the field.
And then the goal.
Off the crossbar. Off a defender's face. In.
We know they worked on that exact shot at practice.
1–0.
First win of many… let’s do it!
