Southeast Division Champions

The Villages SC 1–0 Daytona SC

The last home match of the season, with the division on the line, and one goal settled it.

We are Southeast Division Champions.

Half time: 0–0.

Gabriel Cabral scored the winner.

1–0.

A win or a draw would have done it. We took the win, and the division.

Man of the Match: Sam Ottley

Not only for his performance, but for his commitment, his dedication and his mental toughness.

Sam had to leave the team to be with his family, following a medical emergency. This win is dedicated to the Ottley family.

The Raging Herd and the Tri-County Stampede were both excellent.

Two supporters' groups, both sections going, on the night the division was decided. A fortnight earlier the Stampede had turned up with enormous photographs of our players' faces on sticks. Tonight they brought the noise instead.

The EF Educational Homestay Programs exchange students returned, as they had the summer before.

They came again this year — to a different ground, on the night we won the division.

Fill the Truck

The food drive ran at this match, with the UConn Sports Club of The Villages. One bag of non-perishable food, one raffle ticket, drawing at half time, prizes donated by local businesses.

Everything collected went to local food banks.

Our second Southeast Division title, after 2016.
