The United Soccer League announced a new brand identity this month**, covering all seven of its leagues and introducing the first mark for USL Premier, which launches in 2028.
The rollout runs across 2027. We will update our own materials as the assets reach us.
What is actually changing
From 2028 the USL's men's professional structure becomes three tiers — USL Premier, the USL Championship and USL League One — with promotion and relegation between them. Clubs will move up and down based on results.
USL League Two, where we play, sits outside that. We are a pre-professional competition. Our players are mostly in college and keep their eligibility, and the division we win is not one anybody gets promoted out of.
So this does not change our season.
What it does change
And we have been clear for some years that we would like to be in USL League One in the future.
That is a conversation for another day and it depends on a great deal more than ambition. But a professional pyramid with movement in it is a more interesting thing to be aiming at than a closed one.
Two hundred communities. Forty-five states. Seven leagues, soon eight.
We have been part of this one since 2016, through a name change of our own, a cancelled season, four grounds and six division titles.
We will be here for whatever it becomes next.
