Florida Elite SA 1–2 The Villages SC
A week after losing to them at home with nine men, we went to Jacksonville and beat them.
The home side started the match in the wrong kits and had to change before kickoff.
We took the lead inside the first half an hour and kept the pressure on — corners on 24, 30, 35 and 43. FESA levelled on 40, and it was 1–1 at the break.
We went back ahead in the second half, and from there it was about holding it.
On 63 the referee inspected at least four match balls in two minutes and deemed every one of them unfit for play. Our own feed at the time: "Hmmmm."
Alvaro Carrera came off for Felipe Arruda. Oscar Resano came off for Nick Butler. Fred Ferreira came off for Joao Santos on 89.
2–1.
Four points from six against the club that had beaten us at The Range twice, and revenge for the week before.
Focused the entire game Nicolai Muench is our Man of the Match. He supported the attack several times by overlapping, dribbling thru the lines, and making combination passes.
His finish on goal was professionally done. He worked by shielding the ball with his body from the opponent and kicked on the opposite side of the goalkeeper to give us the winning goal and the important 3 points on the road.
