This is the realization of a dream.
The Villages SC will compete in the Premier Development League this season — the top amateur league in the country, where college players spend their summers without losing their eligibility, and where more than seventy percent of MLS draft picks have played.
Our home matches will be at The Villages Polo Club. The team will be known as The Villages SC Buffalo.
"The PDL is a great platform for athletes, not only to measure their skills, but most importantly it gives them an opportunity to experience a very high level of competition and prepare for a potential professional career." — Anderson Da Silva
"This is a game that teaches kids about teamwork, discipline and helps in their health. The PDL is a national competition. A way for people to know about our community, and for local talented players to find a place to develop and hopefully move on to good colleges and professional teams." — Dr. Maen Hussein
Eight years ago this was a youth club with no senior team and no field of its own. This summer there will be national league soccer being played in our community.
Come and see it.
