The count down is on! We have just completed our first week of practice and our first game of the season is only 10 days away.
Players continue to arrive and practice is intensifying. Our returning players have been announced and in the next few days we will share information about the new ones.
Dalton (our new intern) caught up with Coach Anderson on the sideline, here is what they had to say:
Q: First off, what are the expectations for this season?
A: Expectations is high since we have been winning for the past few years, we have a big target on our back. There's expectation that we will get to the playoffs again because we’ve been there some many times. This has to be the year we go to the nationals and get the title for our fans.
Q: We've seen announcements of returning players and it is quite the line up already. Is there a new player you have seen that you know fans will be excited about?
A: It’s hard to say right now because we have so many new players. We have players from a lot of different countries here, like Pablo from Spain, Alejo from Argentina but it’s hard to tell right now since they are still arriving and we don't have a complete squad yet. But I can say that there will be a few new players that the fans will be happy to see on the field.
Q: On the home schedule, any games you have circled that you’re really looking forward to?
A: For me, every game is a final. I look forward to the hard games because that way everybody’s focused and we enforce our style so they have to adapt to our style. This competition, it’s so short, three points matter, one point matters, so we have to do the best we can at every game. So, I'm not focused on a specific opponent.
