The Villages SC 2–0 Weston FC
Our first home match of the season, and both goals came after the break.
0–0 at half time.
48' — Fabio Amaral, assisted by Daniel Oliveira.
87' — Mario Simoes, assisted by G. Murtha.
2–0.
Mario Simoes came up from our Youth Academy to the USL2 squad this season.
We introduced him in our new signings piece a few weeks ago as a freshman at Colby College who had played for our academy team and was now moving up.
Tonight he scored for the first team, in front of our own crowd.
Three matches into the season, and our first at home.
We opened away at Tampa Bay United and won 1–0 through Rajae Scott. We drew at Florida Elite. Seven points from three, and our first clean sheet in front of our own crowd.
