Caue Ramos has been named to the USL League Two Team of the Month for June.
From the league's own write-up:
"Caue Ramos has become a fixture in the Brave SC lineup this season, after a strong month of June that has the club in the driver's seat to take the Southeast Division crown. Ramos has contributed four goals and one assist from his CDM position, which has been crucial for the club's buildup play. The Brazilian is averaging 23 passes per game, driving the ball into attack with nine forward passes and 16 medium-range passes."
Four goals and an assist in a month, from a defensive midfielder.
That is the part worth sitting with. Caue plays as our holding midfielder — the player whose first job is to break things up and start us moving — and he spent June scoring. The brace that turned the Inter Gainesville match on its head, and the goals that kept us top of the division.
Twenty-three passes a game, most of them forward.
A league honor, from a division that had three clubs in the title race all summer.
Well earned.
