Ten Years in the USL League Two

We joined this league in 2016. It was called the PDL then.

That season there were 74 clubs in it. This year there are 158, across twenty divisions and four conferences, and the league is now USL League Two. It has roughly doubled in a decade.

Our own division has changed almost as much. In 2016 the Southeast had us, IMG, Lakeland, Weston, SIMA, Next Academy Palm Beach, North County United, Tampa Bay Rowdies U23 and FC Miami City. Some of those clubs no longer exist. Florida has since been split into two divisions of six.

This year we played Brooke House, Inter Gainesville, Nona, Shark Coast and Sporting Club Jacksonville — four of which were not in the league when we started.

Six Southeast Division titles. 2016, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2026.

Two Southern Conference championships. 2018 and 2023.

Two national semifinals. Playoff football in most of the seasons we have played. And a first-round place in the U.S. Open Cup every single year since we arrived.

Clubs come into this league every winter and a good number are gone within three years. Staying is harder than starting, and winning while you stay is harder again.

Ten years being the ones Florida looks up to.
