Fifteenth best crest in North America

FourFourTwo has ranked The Villages SC the 15th most beautiful club crest in North America.**

The British magazine published a ranked feature on the best crests in North American soccer, from the first divisions down through the lower leagues.

We came in at number fifteen — placed alongside clubs from Major League Soccer and Mexico's Liga MX, several of whom finished below us.

A PDL club in its second season, from a town in Central Florida, in a list dominated by professional sides with a century of history and a design budget to match.

Every part of that crest is there for a reason.

The shape carries over from the original youth club shield — the senior team came out of the youth club and the crest says so. The leaves are for growth. The buffalo is for a animal you could once see in corrals around this town, and for the qualities we ask of our players. The map is Florida, with the buffalo's eye marking where we are on it. The colours are the official colours of The Villages.

Somebody looked at all of that from across the Atlantic and put it fifteenth on a continent.

Thank you, FourFourTwo.

Nice to be named among those teams.
