For the second time in 3 years, we have qualified for the PDL playoffs. What a tight race it has been! With only 2 points below the Southeast Division winner (SIMA Aguilas) we became the "wildcard" team. That is because "In conferences with three divisions (Eastern, Southern, Western), each division winner, plus the highest-finishing second-place team in the conference, advance to the playoffs in the conference semifinals."
Lakeland Tropics held the first place spot for several weeks and ended up withthe same number of points as we did but the standing rules state that theywould first look at "head-to-head", meaning the time we had played each otherwhich meant that we would qualify because we won against them (head-to-head). Our goal differential would be next to determine who would qualify andthere again we had the upper hand.
We are headed to Statesboro, GA on Thursday to play against the playoffs' host, Tormenta FC, on Friday, July 20 at 8:00 PM. The winner of that game moves on to play the Southern Conference final on Saturday at 8:00 PM.The games will be played at Erk Russell Park located at 1332 Southern Drive, Statesboro, GA 30460

Buffalo generosity and fun with the Huskies!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the "Fill the truck, feed the hungry"campaign. Together with the UConn Sports Club, we were able to collect over 600 pounds of food!!!Even with all the rain, the delay and the shortened half, the Huskies kept their spirits up and joined our Buffalo fan in cheering on the Buffalo. Thank you all for coming!
