The Villages SC 3–0 FC Miami City
Playoff bound.
9' — Fabio Amaral, assisted by Daniel Oliveira.
61' — Vandyke Gyau.
87' — Nicolai Muench.
3–0.
Man of the Match: Vandyke Gyau.
A beautiful goal from outside the eighteen-yard box — and beyond that, he dominated everything sent into the air and was excellent at connecting quick passes on the ground to move the ball forward.
Gyau
He scored against Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium in the 2019 U.S. Open Cup.
He was sent off in the national semifinal in Pennsylvania in 2018, which meant thirty minutes of extra time played with ten men, and a decision we did not believe was fair.
He drove to a hotel in Virginia in 2021 just to see the lads before a playoff match, when he was not even with us.
Tonight he scored from outside the box in the match that put us into the playoffs.
Amaral's fourth of the season, and he continues to be the most consistent finisher in this squad.
Nicolai Muench got the third — the All-Region freshman defender who took Man of the Match on his debut in the season opener at Tampa Bay.
Three goals, a clean sheet, and a playoff place secured at home.
Got the ticket.
