Joao Ribeiro went wide on the final corner
> "Big shout out for Joao for going wide on the final corner to get the assist for the winning goal."
Joao came up through our youth club. He moved into the first team squad in 2022 alongside Payton Rausch and Andrew Muller, having played at The Villages Charter School.
On the last corner of the last match of the regular season, he went wide and set up the winner.
## Man of the Match: Nicolai Muench — for the second time this season
He took a hard hit and limped to the locker room at half time.
The coaches gave him the choice to come off. He wanted to stay on and help the team.
He then created several crossing opportunities by getting past defenders, and scored the goal that started the comeback.
Muench joined us this season from Mercyhurst University, one of four true freshmen named to an Atlantic All-Region Team. He was Man of the Match on his debut in the season opener at Tampa Bay, and he is Man of the Match again in the last match of the regular season.
We host the first round of the playoffs here on Friday.
Let's go Buffalo.
