Summer Camp

Groups were separated by age, and two USL League Two players were assigned to each one.

They spent about three hours with their group — on the field and in the gym — and then we swapped the coaches over and brought a fresh pair in.

The result is that every child trained with several different first-team players across the week, rather than the same one or two all five days. Different voices, different sessions, different people to ask questions of.

And every player on our squad spent real time with a group of kids, in shifts, rather than one appearance on one morning.

Everyone had a great time, including the coaches.

A great summer camp.
