Tampa Bay United beat us 3–1
That was our only defeat of the regular season — and it ended a league unbeaten run stretching back to May 18, 2019. Nineteen matches across three calendar years, a cancelled season, and two years away from the game.
One of our supporters had posted the streak numbers the night before it ended. Nineteen unbeaten, fourth in the country, the best defence in the country.
Then Tampa Bay beat us.
This was the return fixture, and we took it 3–0.
Man of the Match: Nicholas Butler.
His strength and speed were on point. Two weeks earlier he had scored against River Plate — the only goal anybody managed against them on their entire Florida tour.
