The rematch at Lakeland

Lakeland Tropics 1–1 The Villages SC**

Eighteen days after we knocked them out of the U.S. Open Cup on penalties, we went back to Lakeland for the league fixture.

16' — Danilo Seglio put us ahead.

37' — Raheem Taylor-Parkes levelled it, a right-footed finish from the centre of the box into the bottom-left corner, assisted by Chase Hovious.

1–1 at the break.

The second half was a stalemate, and a physical one.

52' — we hit the post. That was the closest either side came.

Yellow cards for Ramzi Toure, Victor Parreiras, Sukrija Dudic and Yago Lopes tell you most of what you need to know about the temperature.

1–1.

The same two players, again

Danilo Seglio scored our goal in the Open Cup tie on May 7 as well — a powerful overlapping run into the box, his first shot saved, and the rebound put away himself.

Raheem Taylor-Parkes scored Lakeland's equaliser in that one too, from a Chase Hovious cross.

Identical scorers. Identical assist. Eighteen days apart.

This is the kind of competition we like.
