Focused the entire game Nicolai is our Man of the Match. He supported the attack several times by overlapping, dribbling thru the lines, and making combination passes.
His finish on goal was professionally done. He worked by shielding the ball with his body from the opponent and kicked on the opposite side of the goalkeeper to give us the winning goal and the important 3 points on the road.

@nic.munch created several attacking opportunities last season and has the ability to win 1v1 situations to get past defenders. He was Man of the Match twice. Once at our first game and then later in the season during a comeback that helped us get a spot in the playoffs.
He is returning to The Villages after a season at Mercyhurst University where he Played all 21 games and started 21, scored a total of 9 goals, and had 11 assists.

BIO:
2022-23: Played all 21 games and started 21 of them for the Lakers, scored an impressive total of 9 goals and had 11 assists. Münch had a total of 25 shots on goal this season.
2021: Appeared in 18 games…Tallied 15 points with four goals and seven assists…Had 23 shots with 12 being on goal.
Prior to Mercyhurst: Played U19 soccer earned a promotion to Oberliga in his first U19 soccer season…in his second season was named captain and made the regional futsal masters for the second straight season
Personal: Born on December 21st, 2001…son of Markus and Barbara Münch…has one sibling, Maximilian…father played for FC Bayern München, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, 1.FC Köln, CFC Genua, Besiktas Istanbul, Panathinaikos Athen
