We are proud to announce that after participating in the first-ever US Soccer (USSF) A-Senior Course with hundreds of hours, trips to the US Soccer National Development Center in Kansas, test on and off the field and even a visit from one of the instructors to our complex, we can now congratulate Coach Anderson on receiving his US Soccer National A-Senior Coaching License.
Coach Anderson has always loved the game of soccer but it was not until he volunteered, in 2004, as a youth coach that he found his passion for coaching. Since then his desire to learn more has only grown. He continued to work at his “day job” while doing everything he could to make coaching a career. He is now a full-time soccer coach, manager, director… etc. He truly does it all.
After years of acquiring other licenses, it was time for the “A”. He put in the application and was accepted, not only for the “A” as he had known but for a new system the USSF has set up for coaches and he was to be one of 30 coaches to ever take this new “A-Senior” course held in the brand new US Soccer National Development Center in Kansas. (see more about it here)
The course started at the beginning of 2019. After several trips to the NDC, projects, deadlines and a “home visit” from one of the instructors to our facility, he had the final assessment this past week.
He said this about the course: “It was really great to learn from not only very knowledgeable instructors in the best possible environment but also from my peers. I got to share ideas and interact with several coaches that are employed by professional teams in the MLS and USL Championship. It was an incredible experience and I can’t wait to put it all into practice for the Buffalo!”
This upcoming 2020 USL League Two season will be when Coach Anderson will apply all that he has learned through earning his A on and off the field. USL League Two described Coach Anderson as, “The Titan on the Touchline.” The entire USL League Two article can be found at https://www.uslleaguetwo.com/news_article/show/1059738.
