THE VILLAGES, Fla. – The Villages SC announced it had named Anderson DaSilva as the club’s Head Coach. “Anderson has a strong background of developing young players and winning at the PDL level,” said The Villages General Manager Alex Perez. “Our main focus is to develop players and help them prepare for their career as professional soccer players. Anderson is the right leader for our team.” “I have seen first-hand how important the PDL is for those who are serious about the game and would like to play professionally. I am excited to bring a team together that our community can be proud of,” said DaSilva. “I am committed to The Villages SC and the development of our young players.” DaSilva has previous coaching experience in the PDL, having led the Ocala Stampede and the Jersey Express to the PDL Playoffs, and into the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup over the past three years. Last season DaSilva led the Express into the third round of the Open Cup after earning victory against USL club the New York Red Bulls II. DaSilva holds a US Soccer Federation “B” License, and gas been part of The Villages community for the past eight years. He is currently the Director of Coaching for the Villages Soccer Youth Club as well as the Head Coach for the The Villages High School Varsity soccer team.
